Is there a form of magnesium that is better for certain deficiencies (like migraines, etc.)?

Per FDA we cannot suggest other forms of magnesium but ours, Remag. It is 100% magnesium in reverse osmosis water with no other added compounds. With respect to the form of magnesium, ReMag is 99.9% elemental magnesium extracted from Magnesium Chloride.
